Hong Kong Fire Services Department will participate in the Education & Careers Expo to engage the public and promote its recruitment drive. We want to attract more people and help them understand our responsibilities better by highlighting the job responsibilities, difficulties and displaying many aspects of the Fire Services Department's operations and equipment. This year, we have introduced an "Ethnic Minority Development Program", as we found that students from minority groups who are interested in joining our ranks need additional support. The Expo this year has been a huge success. Visitors have given overwhelmingly positive feedback. Numerous young people have visited our booth in order to find out more about our open positions, and expressed interest in applying. Anyone interested in working with us can take advantage of the on-site fitness and eye tests. This has attracted a lot attention. We have been able to find many potential candidates through the fair, and each year we hire our best team members. The experience has been enlightening and we are delighted to be part of it.

The Coffee Project has never before participated in the Education & Careers Exposition. Through this exhibition, we want individuals from all walks to learn more about the coffee industry and what it takes for a barista to be skilled. We organized coffee tastings and a coffee training session to educate them about the coffee and its brewing process. This expo is a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce the coffee culture and give the public a hands-on experience, especially given the recent rise in coffee's popularity. Many people expressed interest in the barista training and hobbyists course. The organizers did a great job in bringing different student groups to our booths, so that we could pique their interest. Many members of the public also came to our booths to learn more about what we do. We were overall pleasantly surprised at the number of visitors, and by their response.
