The San Diego Comic Convention is an international nonprofit public benefit corporation organized in California for charitable purposes. Its mission is to increase public awareness and appreciation of comics and other popular art forms. This includes participation and support for public presentations, conventions or exhibits, museums, and public outreach activities that celebrate the historical and continuing contribution of comics to culture.
